Differentiate Learning for both Struggling and Advanced Learners

April Williams Moore is running for the Texas State Board of Education because students, educators, and parents deserve a stronger voice in decisions that shape classrooms across Texas.

As a Parent and Community Advocate April believes:

📖 Education policy should be student-centered, and evidence-based.

🍎Teachers should be respected and supported.

🎓 Public schools should prepare students for college, careers, and life
District 13 deserves leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers results.

April’s Priorities for the State Board of Education

📖 High-Quality Curriculum
Students deserves age-appropriate instruction that meets them where they are. We must differentiate learning needs and allocate supplementary resources for students who require a slower learning pace while concurrently providing accelerated support for advanced learners.

🍎 Supporting Teachers
Recruit and retain educators by respecting their expertise and removing mandatory unnecessary certifications that disqualify good teachers.

🎓 College, Career & Workforce Readiness
Ensure Texas students graduate prepared for higher education, skilled trades, military service, or the workforce.

🔍 Transparency & Accountability
The State Board of Education should operate openly and responsibly, serving the public interest.
